Day‐ahead flexibility market clearing mechanism for interactive collaboration of transmission and distribution system operators

This paper explores the procurement of flexibility services in power system by collaboration between transmission operators (TSO) and distribution (DSO) day-ahead market (DAM). With coordination interaction among operators, existing sources levels are exploited efficiently to procure services. For motivation distributed generation (DGs) microgrids (MGs) provide services, DSO aggregates flexible its grid offers them upstream market. Doing so addresses TSO uncertainties improves entire grid. The simulation results suggest increased efficiency reduced operating costs for using sources. Furthermore, demonstrate that utilization enhances and, consequently, increases absorption from renewable energy (RES). Also, is associated with an increase revenue MGs. An examination impact MG's ownership on clearing mechanism also investigated this regard. Finally, reserve affects system's flexibility. effect helpful systems while reducing metrics inflexible systems.
